2nd Earth Concept
As a young social entrepreneur, I feel I am part of a larger movement of spirited innovators passionate about resolving the world's crises. This in part is catalyzing a systemic change in the way business is being conducted; more and more, entrepreneurs play a critical role in environmental and social solutions.<br /><br />This is perhaps born of mandate; we live in a world where resources have been overly taxed, where multitudes of people suffer in poverty and exploitation. Sociopolitical hostilities inspire conflict daily while a fossil fuel dependent energy infrastructure continues to destabilize economies, assault the environment and threaten national security. <br /><br />For better or worse, a new planet is emerging- it is our choice what this 2nd Earth will be. In an increasingly interdependent world with global telecommunications, trade and interlinked financial markets, there is potential for large scale cooperation. Such cooperation transcends national or ethnic allegiance and unites all under a single banner of humanity- such cooperation will be necessary to effectively reconfigure society.<br /><br />In the quest for greater sustainability and equality, there are several forces that must be considered. This blog and podcast will elucidate some of these forces and advise how best to harness them and navigate our changing world.
