Description

Hour 1 The Mets beat the Phillies last night as Francisco Lindor hit a grand slam to propel them into the NLCS. Finally, our team is the one surprising other teams. When Lindor was rounding the bases, he looked like he expected to do it. And the fact it was against the Phillies made it even more spectacular. Gio said if Carlos Mendoza has one flaw, it’s trusting Edwin Diaz too much. Gio said you can see the lack of confidence on Diaz’s face when he’s walking guys. Then as soon as he strikes someone out, the confident face shows up. Giancarlo Stanton homered and actually stole a base last night. People are not liking Bob Costas on the Yankees broadcasts. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and he starts with the Howie Rose call of the Lindor grand slam. After the game Lindor talked about his approach to his grand slam at bat. Diaz talked about getting the save. Nick Castellanos talked about how well the Mets played but said they were the better team overall but not this series. Jerry had John Sterling on the call as Giancarlo Stanton hit a HR. Aaron Rodgers was on with Pat McAfee to say he had nothing to do with Rob Saleh’s firing. In the final segment of the hour, a caller talked about the transformation of Francisco Lindor and the trade for Jose Iglesias. Boomer talked about the importance of the Mets pitching in the playoffs. Hour 2 Boomer talked about all the memories Mets fans will have from the playoff run against the Brewers and now against the Phillies. We talked about key moments from the Mets season that propelled them into what they’ve done the past few weeks. Boomer said it reminds him of the way his dad was acting around the ‘69 Mets. Gio said the Mets have a chance against anybody right now, including the Padres or the Dodgers. Boomer doesn’t consider them an underdog anymore. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Lindor grand slam as heard on Phillies radio. Jerry has the Carlos Mendoza speech after the game to his players in the locker room. The Dodgers evened their series 2-2 against the Padres. The Yankees beat the Royals as Stanton had a double, a HR and even a stolen base. Suzyn Waldman talked about all the TV time George Brett is getting during the series. Stanton talked about stealing second even though he can’t run. Aaron Rodgers was on with McAfee and said he had nothing to do with the firing of Saleh. Boomer thinks Woody did the right thing to change the season. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about hurricane Milton ripping the roof off of Tropicana Field. We took some calls from elated Mets fans. Hour 3 This Mets team is one of the most likable NY teams we’ve had in a long time. We want that same feeling from the Yankees and hope we get that when we come in tomorrow morning. Gerrit Cole has to pitch his butt off and Aaron Judge has to get in the mix. We also talked more about the firing of Rob Saleh and how we never saw him interacting with players during the game and he put his foot in his mouth a bunch of times. A man who is blind called in to tell us he can listen to 5 different games at the same time and know what’s going on in each one. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Francisco Lindor grand slam as heard on FS1. We heard the final out as heard on Mets radio and Howie Rose. Chipper Jones congratulated the Mets on Twitter and shouted out Lindor. Jerry has a clip of a Philadelphia podcast and the host is furious. The Yankees beat the Royals as we heard the lame Bob Costas call on the Stanton HR. Colin Cowherd said a Mets/Padres matchup would be ‘a juicy World Series’. Aaron Rodgers talked about how tough of a business the NFL is after the firing of Rob Saleh. In the final segment of the hour, 1010 WINS had food delivered for 10/10 Day. Hour 4 We talked about Boomer’s love of 1010 WINS and all the crime they cover. Then we took a ton of calls from Mets fans. Francisco Lindor is the perfect player for this team right now. Keith Hernandez was respo ...
