Description

Send us Fan Mail Seven days. That’s all God said was left before the rain started, and Genesis 7:4 shows it so plainly that it’s almost unsettling. We slow down and look at the Noah story with fresh eyes, because the ark wasn’t just a dramatic rescue scene, it was a visible invitation with an open door, and the tragedy is that nobody moved until it was too late. We connect that overlooked detail to Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24:37, “as the days of Noah were,” and we ask what it means for our lives right now. We’re not setting dates and we’re not pretending to know the hour, because Scripture is clear that no one knows the day or time. But we are taking seriously the spiritual readiness Jesus calls for, especially when the world feels loud, distracted, and confident that tomorrow is guaranteed. We also talk about why God’s “delay” is not indifference. The patience of God is mercy, another day for repentance, another chance to respond to the gospel. Then we bring it home with the ark’s one door and Jesus’ words in John 10:9: “I am the door.” Knowing about Jesus is not the same as walking through that door, and being near the truth is not the same as being surrendered to it.
