In the story of the sheep and the goats, Jesus addresses a challenging topic: the judgment of God. Many of us feel uneasy when we think about God deciding who is worthy of life or death, or who deserves reward or punishment—it feels wrong, like a guitar that's out of tune. In response to this discomfort, we often react in two ways. Some reject the idea entirely: "If God is like this, I want no part of Him."
