A veteran empathy for dance music is obvious as the songs are masterfully arranged, accentuating the diversity of each while seamlessly combining all into a common harmonic groove. Hot Wax 's record selection is as timeless as it is diverse, fusing new jungle and old Detroit acid together, defying classification and proving that there's unity in a beat, and beats are universal. An open mind and love of all shades of dance music are required to fully appreciate this brilliant effort. (Zeke Margolis)
