How often have we found our lives lacking and tried to fill them with a new career, New Year's resolutions, a vacation, new relationships, or new habits? Jesus reveals that we don't need to add something new to our lives; we need to be radically changed from the inside out. Jesus is the new wine of Matthew 9:14-17, offering us a new life that is sweet, eternal, fulfilling and abundant.

After Jesus miraculously heals a paralytic and forgives him of his sin, Jesus shocks the religious leaders of his day by inviting a despised tax collector to be his disciple. More than that, he's then seen sharing a meal with sinners and tax collectors! Join us in Matthew 9:9-13 as we rejoice that Jesus came for the sick and for sinners and prepare ourselves to do the same for those around us.

"Your sins are forgiven." Those are powerful words to hear, but how can we know we've truly been forgiven? In today's text, Jesus shows his authority to forgive sin and heal its effects.
