'HE PUT HIS 5-YEAR-OLD IN DANGER': Mullin vs. Brennan
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin went on Face the Nation Sunday, and Margaret Brennan went after the ICE officers, not the man they shot. In the Bronx last week, officers say a 28-year-old with prior arrests for robbery and assault hit the gas toward them with his five-year-old in the back seat, and an agent fired. Brennan asked why they did not notice the child. Mullin: "We had our badges out, giving lawful demands. He decided that he was going to accelerate." Who put that child in danger? PUBLIC EXECUTION: Hegseth Says You Will Be Able to Watch
The Fort Hood killer's firing squad will be public. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told Real America's Voice that when Nidal Hasan, who murdered 13 people and wounded 32 at Fort Hood in 2009, faces an Army firing squad on December 3, "we'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public, because people need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things," per CBS News. The Pentagon told the Associated Press the execution will be livestreamed, though it has not said where. Axios notes the last public execution in this country was a hanging in Kentucky in 1936, about 90 years ago. Thirteen dead, 32 wounded, 17 years of appeals. Some will call a public execution barbaric. The families might call it the first time anybody showed them the justice they were promised. Nidal Hasan, the former Army psychiatrist who murdered 13 people and wounded 32 at Fort Hood in 2009, will be executed by firing squad at Fort Hood on December 3, per CBS News Texas, NBC News and the acting Army secretary's own announcement. It will be the first execution carried out by the U.S. military since 1961, and the first by firing squad since World War II. HISPANIC VOTERS FLIP: Republicans Up 8, Says Rasmussen
Hispanic voters now favor Republicans for Congress 50% to 42%, according to a new Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,794 likely voters taken September 24 and 27 to 30, per Rasmussen and Breitbart News. In mid-September the same pollster had Democrats ahead with Hispanic voters 44 to 42; now it is an eight-point Republican edge. Nationally, Democrats still lead the generic ballot 47 to 44, but that lead has shrunk from eight points to three in a few weeks. Breitbart notes Joe Biden won Hispanic voters by 25 points in 2020, and Pew Research found Donald Trump lost them by only three in 2024. Safe streets, a secure border, and a paycheck that goes further. That is not a partisan wish list. That is a family wish list. Chuck reads the numbers, as reported by Breitbart News and The Gateway Pundit.
