It’s true! I’m back from a 10 month “rebirth” myself with some old ideas and new perspectives on the dissolution of this extreme birth movement. But mostly, we are collectively advancing (yay!) and moving forward together is a real possibility. Today I talk directly to birth workers and about birth work specifically in this new offering for September. Most women I meet are chronically depleted and exhausted, and birth workers are at the top of that list. Is that what we want for ourselves? Is that what we want for the future? I am done with hearing and seeing women wear exhaustion as a badge of honor. It’s not anything to be ashamed about either! In offering my Miscarriage Mother to women all over, I’ve been witness to some key themes and feelings that may arise for women after a miscarriage. The time “after” means days, to months to years and I’ve also used my own experience to get familiar with what these beliefs and themes may be.
