Five years in the future...The west coast of the United States votes in favor of secession- a motion that came to be known as “the Separation.” In the ensuing chaos, a shadow government takes control, and democracy is suspended. Somewhere a man named Jeremy is held in a room by an anonymous woman who tortures him with a smartphone app. Jeremy supported the Separation, even after his family left him over it. Now he worries that his decision might have cost him more than his life as he once knew it. Sometimes freedom isn’t taken from us. Sometimes we give it up voluntarily.

Written by Corey Pajka. Directed by Robert A.K. Gonyo. Starring Samantha Cooper, Marlowe Holden, Megan LeKnapp, John Noel, Christina Pitter, and Kia Sayyadi. Sound engineering by Liz Regan. Sound design and editing by Robert AK Gonyo. Play development by Lauren Milici. Artwork by Emanuela Brumana. dtc radio theme by Spencer Robelen. Hosted by Pip Gengenbach.
