Dramaturg and literary associate Lauren Halvorsen and freelance dramaturg and director Linda Lombardi talk me through the plays they are looking forward this season in Washington, DC along with a whole bunch of inside baseball on season planning and the work of a dramaturg. 

I had the great fortune to spend an hour and a half in a study room of the Shaw library with friend of the show Lauren Halvorsen and Linda Lombardi to have a free ranging discussion on life at Studio Theatre, life as a freelance dramaturg, the challenges of audience and community engagement, and a survey of the plays that are being put on by Washington area storefront and regional theaters.
