Description

After premiering at the Berlinale 2023 in the Generation Kplus and traveling along Festivals, “Dancing Queen lands at the 37th Bolzano Film Festival in the Lili section.

The film is a coming-of-age telling the story of nerdy Mina who decides to learn very quickly how to dance in order to impress the school’s newcomer and famous dancer Edvin.

Director Aurora Gossé, in Bolzano to show the film to the kids participating in the Lili section, describes the film as “for all ages, a feel good movie about dancing and being true to yourself”.

With a delicate and attentive touch, “Dancing Queen” depicts all the extremes of adolescence by also exploring the worst sides, including eating disorders.

At the 37th Bolzano Film Festival,  Aurora Gossé has also participated in a BFFB talk about cinema for a younger audience.
