Milan’s CityWave - Architecture, Engineering and Public Space by BIG

This time, About Cities takes a different approach. Instead of exploring an entire city, we zoom in on one ambitious architectural development transforming Milan’s skyline. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), CityWave brings together innovative architecture, engineering, sustainability, and public space. In this episode, we explore the project’s vision, design, and potential impact on Milan’s urban life. ✨ A little behind the scenes: This special episode was developed with the help of AI while waiting in line to visit CityWave ahead of its official opening, during the FAI Open Days! Because sometimes, curiosity and a little waiting time are all it takes to explore a new architectural story.
