This week's episode hits you a little early and was already recorded a couple weeks ago as Steve McLean & Kevin Jordan tee up their trip to Czechia which already started last week! The 2026-27 OHL regular season is already two weeks old, but we are here for a full league preview with Steve Clark the TV play by play voice of the Niagara IceDogs but also to start the season he has also been the radio voice of the Kitchener Rangers! Are the Memorial Cup host Guelph Storm the odds-on favourite to win the west or is London back to full strength after a "down year" where they only finished 4th in the conference. The east seems a bit of a tougher egg to crack on who will lead the way, but we definitely know who will likely bring up the rear. We pivot from the east coast to the west coast as Ryan Switzer is back for another season as our WHL correspondent and this week tees us up for the 2026-27 WHL season. Some off-season changes including new overtime rules, a new streaming platform and an in-season cup which the guys naturally advocate to become a championship belt! The more things change the more they stay the same as many of the top teams from last year appear to be strong again this year and Ryan is already throwing down WHL finals predictions 8 months in advance! It's our 2025-26 season finale episode of All 61: A CHL Podcast. On this episode Steve Clark is here to go over the OHL heading into the off season and what next season might look like as Steve McLean is downright giddy about the trades the Guelph Storm have made ahead of hosting next year's Memorial Cup. Clark gives his thoughts on Kitchener's dominating Memorial Cup performance; the guys discuss what a success the in-person OHL draft was and how the new NCAA dynamic might not all be doom and gloom despite more players than ever making the jump. We appreciate your support and might pop back on during the summer if any news warrants but for now it's time to kick up our heels and relax for the summer. We will be back in September for the 2026-27 season! Stay tuned to our social media channels for any updates @all60chlpod as well as our website all60chlpod.com.
