FROM THE WRONG TREE, TO THE RIGHT LIFE! - From Babel to the City of God

FROM THE WRONG TREE, TO THE RIGHT LIFE! | From Babel to the City of God What if the entire Bible reveals one incredible journey, from humanity's disastrous attempt to become like God to God's glorious plan to bring humanity into His own life? It began with the WRONG TREE in the Garden of Eden. The serpent deceived Eve with the promise that she could become like God. That same deception continued through Cain, the generations before the Flood, and ultimately the Tower of Babel, where mankind attempted to build its own way into heaven! But God had an entirely different plan! At Babel, mankind tried to build a city that reached UP to heaven. But in Revelation, John sees the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming DOWN from God out of heaven! MAN TRIED TO REACH GOD THROUGH HIS OWN WORKS, BUT GOD CAME DOWN TO BRING MAN INTO HIS LIFE! In this powerful Bible study, Pastor Michael F. Blume traces a remarkable thread of Scripture connecting the Garden of Eden, Cain and Abel, Noah and the Flood, the Tower of Babel, Abraham's calling, and the glorious City of God. Discover how the same deception that defeated Eve continues to affect Christians today, especially when believers attempt to produce their own righteousness and holiness rather than trusting in the life and power of Jesus Christ! The answer is not found in becoming like God through human effort. It is found in being UNITED WITH JESUS CHRIST, sharing in His death, resurrection, righteousness, and life! From the wrong tree to the Tree of Life, from Babel's confusion to God's heavenly city, the Bible reveals a breathtaking message of redemption!
