That is, you are, as a believer, no longer a slave of sin – no longer dominated by it. You may, as Paul expressed, be harassed by it from time to time but even then, as he realized, as should we, that it is not originating from your new identity, your reborn soul. Rather, it’s from the sin resident in your flesh.
