Description
Is Dr. Mary Claire Haver's most recent book on perimenopause worth the read? In this month's edition of Another Bloody Book Club Heather and Lisa give their verdict. We talk you through some of the most surprising medical facts we discoverd while reading "The New Perimenopause: An Evidence-based Guide to Surviving the Zone of Chaos and Feeling Like Yourself Again" and how the book resonated with our own experiences. We're huge fans of Dr. Haver's Unpaused podcast and are happy to report that the OBGYN's fiery advocacy on behalf of women is evidenced throughout her latest book. Of course, it also got us reflecting on some of the ways we've been dismissed and ineptly treated in our own perimenopausal and menopausal journeys.
For November, we'll be reading "Adult Braces," a memoir by Lindy West, author of "Shrill."
