Episode 1 | DJ Montay: "Walk It Out" & GloRilla's "I Luv Her"

DJ Montay, the Big Oomp Records producer behind Unk's "Walk It Out" and GloRilla's "I Luv Her" (ft. T-Pain), pulls up to Club 559 for the first episode of Backseat Legends. NuFace sits down with one of Atlanta's most important architects of crunk and snap to trace the whole run: sneaking into 559 at 15, learning to DJ off DJ Jelly and MC Assault mixtapes, $3,000 Technics turntables, his first tape "Lil Shawty," and the Exclusive Gang era. Montay breaks down how the GloRilla record actually happened, the story behind "That's me on the hook" on "Walk It Out," getting Andre 3000 out of retirement, the tall-tee era, and his dream Atlanta posse cut. Plus a rapid fire on Atlanta's best producers, which high school made the most legends, and the spots that made a great night in the city. Hosted by NuFace. Presented by GreatNight, the app for what's popping in Atlanta. New episodes every other Wednesday.
