Working Mom to Stay-at-Home Mom: Why I Reject Both Extremes

Description

I’m back with more thoughts on Yesteryear because apparently one episode was not enough. This time, I’m talking about something the book made me think about a lot: what does it actually mean to be traditional anymore? I’ve lived the corporate, career-first version of life. I’ve also spent the last few years at home with my kids, cooking dinner, raising chickens, trying to make sourdough, and getting called a trad wife—which, for some reason, has always irritated me. The truth is, I don’t really fit either label. In this episode, I’m talking about why I’ve become more traditional as I’ve gotten older, what I think the trad wife conversation gets wrong, the parts of modern feminism I no longer buy into, and why I’m trying to figure out what actually matters to me instead of just jumping from one extreme to the other. Because maybe the answer isn’t “boss babe” or “trad wife.” Maybe it’s somewhere in the middle. - - - - - - - - - - - Liz Durham Instagram | Website Subscribe Apple Podcast | Spotify Being Different with Liz Durham is a Palm Tree Pod Co. production
