Todd Gurley Opens Up About the Rams, His NFL Career & Why He Walked Away | BOS EP13

Todd Gurley joins Anthony Barr and Eric Kendricks on Bent Outta Shape to look back on his journey from Georgia superstar to one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL. Gurley opens up about his controversial NCAA suspension at Georgia, getting caught accepting money for autographs, and what that experience was really like in the middle of a Heisman campaign. He also reflects on returning to Georgia only to tear his ACL, entering the NFL Draft, and becoming a first-round pick despite the injury. The guys dive into Gurley’s NFL career with the Rams, the franchise’s move from St. Louis to Los Angeles, playing for Sean McVay, and the physical reality of being an NFL running back. Todd explains why life after football has given him a completely different perspective on what players put their bodies through every week. Plus, Todd, Eric, and Anthony relive their battles against each other — including the Vikings defenses Todd hated facing, the player he calls the best he ever played against, and how the Rams specifically attacked Anthony Barr in one unforgettable matchup. They also talk about the running back market, Todd’s favorite backs growing up, the infamous Rams-Saints NFC Championship no-call, traveling the world, and plenty of stories from life on and off the field.
