“Who Is At Your Table?” | GOOD NEWS - Week 9 | October 11th, 2026

In the final week of the Good News series, Pastor Matt takes us through 1 Corinthians 11:17-29 to address a critical question: “Who is at your table?” Examining the early church’s gatherings in Corinth, Pastor Matt exposes how their observance of the Lord's Supper had devolved into division, social posturing, and exclusion. Before partaking in Communion, we are invited to look beyond our own comfort, examine our hearts, and allow the radical grace that welcomed us to God's table to shape how we welcome others to ours.   💡 Key Takeaways:   Desire for Belonging: We all long to find our place at the table, but once we find our seat, we must actively look for those who haven't found theirs yet. Grace Shapes Welcome: The grace that welcomed us to Jesus' table should directly shape how we welcome and include others in our lives and church. Level Playing Field at the Cross: In Corinth, social status divided the church during Communion. Paul reminds us that status and rank have no place in the body of Christ. "There You Are" vs. "Here I Am": Instead of walking into rooms demanding to be noticed ("Here I am"), followers of Jesus walk in looking to notice and value others ("There you are"). Self-Examination Before Communion: Before taking the Lord’s Supper, we are called to examine our own motives, repent of division, and align our hearts with the unifying sacrifice of Christ.   ✝️ Scripture References:   1 Corinthians 11:17-29 2 Samuel 9:1-13  John 13:34-35   📲 Download the new Bethlehem Church App to stay connected, access resources, and take your next step with us today! 🔗 Connect With Us: First Time?
