The Table: Mara Ripani

What if the country life you keep talking yourself out of is one you don't have to do alone? Myf Warhurst visits Mara Ripani at Village Dreaming, fifteen acres near Daylesford where Mara lives, gardens, cooks and shares the property with a rotating household of others. It's a home built entirely around the table, and around the idea that a place means more when it's full of people. In this episode: how sharing a property can open the door to land you'd never manage on your own, the boundaries that make communal living work rather than implode, and why building the life you want one small step at a time beats waiting until you can afford it all at once.
