Beyond The Cover

What's the most important day of your life? How would you answer this question? We should say that TODAY is the most important day in my life because tomorrow is never promised and we have purpose today in this moment... it's a gift. Believe it or not, my friend, Danielle, died and went to heaven... she was actually gone for five whole minutes. In this episode Danielle talks about her experience in heaven and how this has completely changed her life. She found herself in heaven... hence the title of her book "I Found Myself In Heaven". What an incredible testimony she carries and shares within this recording and in her book. Have we missed the mark? Have we over complicated the Gospel, the ministry, the church? On her quest to find a new church home in a new town, Priscilla began to record the "New Girl Chronicles" that in turn we share with you on this podcast. It's not just about the revelation she received as she walked in and out of the front doors of several church buildings where it started to feel like she was an extra in the movie Groundhog Day.... it's more about the "For You I Will..." that she walks out now - the "Here I am, Send Me" mentality that compels her heart to shout from the roof tops what We The Church looks like and how each one of us are uniquely designed to be a part of the body and build the body. Fog machines are fun, but forgiveness is foundational! Programs are good, but prayer is God! Dedications are good, but discipleship is God! Where are you and where should you be? Where is Jesus calling you? To who is He calling you?

So how does God love? What is love? Deep, wide, true, long suffering, strong, free, faithful, powerful, reckless, unselfish, never ending, overwhelming, simply complex, merciful, joyful, priceless, unfailing, mighty, made known, without regard for self. Is this also a depiction of your love... the way you love? Do you live love out loud? Hopeful this episode challenges and excites you to live in a way that your love is a carbon copy of Jesus.

As we close out 2021, I am jumping into 2022 with a new perspective, a new direction... honestly it's just another day, another year - every day is an opportunity to start over because He's mercies are new every day but starting a new year does give the perfect jump start for new. In this year I am not sitting back, riding the wave - I am making the waves! Who's with me?!?! In this episode, I certainly hope that you can hear my heart, and get a glimpse of what the last year has looked like for me. We are in this together, all of us, really!
