BPR's Fun Movies | Dr. Goblin

It's SPOOKY season at BIT! BPR | Fun Movies with Lauren Conway: Dr. Goblin The doctor is in. The carrots are missing. And the director has a vision. Today on Bit Public Radio, Lauren Conway welcomes director Jason Luna to discuss Dr. Goblin, a cinematic achievement that begins with questionable medicine and becomes an unexpectedly tender exploration of goblin-human relations. Through improvised film clips and deeply serious analysis, we visit a town divided over its new doctor, its frozen yogurt shop, and the suitability of lavender walls. Meanwhile, one goblin discovers that humans might be worth knowing. Especially the ones with gardens. What You'll Definitely Not See Coming A sinister medical conspiracy involving lollipops. A goblin school where everyone's a G. A meet-the-parents dinner with competitive arm wrestling. Can love overcome generations of prejudice? Will the doctor accept your insurance, or just your produce? And who approved "Monster Mash" for the wedding reception? Apologies to zebras, lavender enthusiasts, and goblins who expected more rigorous representation in their high school curriculum.
