Resident Evil 2026 Review: Did Zach Cregger bring RE back from the dead?

This week on Bloody Good Horror we debate Zach Cregger’s Resident Evil (2026)... what works, what doesn’t, and whether the movie really understands what makes the games special. We discuss Austin Abram's leading man performance, the incredible creature design, survival horror tropes, abundant humor, and debate that controversial ending. Does it actually ruin all the good that comes before it? PLUS, Eric tests Jon's Resident Evil knowledge and, spoiler alert, it doesn't go well! The new Crypt Keeper is CHOPPED, the Hellraiser game looks incredible, and we discuss our favorite horror videogames from childhood. 🎙️This audio episode is available WITHOUT ADS on our Patreon feed. 📷Full video version available exclusively for Patrons. 👻Support Bloody Good Horror, gain live stream access, join our Slack and get the entire back catalog by visiting us at: https://www.patreon.com/bloodygoodhorror BGH on social media (Now on Substack!) 🩸https://x.com/bghorror 🩸https://www.instagram.com/bloodygoodhorror/ 🩸https://substack.com/@bloodygoodhorror 🩸https://www.facebook.com/bloodygoodhorror 🩸https://www.tiktok.com/@bgoodhorror 🩸https://www.threads.com/@bloodygoodhorror Learn more about your ad choices.
