Lanterns: Jon Stewart vs. Hal Jordan, Manhunter Reveal & That SHOCKING Death

Kaya and Kendrick are back for Lanterns Episodes 5 and 6, and somehow this show keeps getting crazier. Episode 5 brings the Manhunter storyline to a head as we learn more about Zoe, Rushville’s loyalty to her and just how complicated the entire Green Lantern operation has become. We also get Jon Stewart vs. Hal Jordan — and let’s just say one of them is VERY clearly winning that fight. Then Jon makes a final decision about Zoe before walking away from the Green Lantern life entirely. Or so we thought. Episode 6 jumps forward to 2026, where Jon is working with his brother, designing massive apocalypse bunkers and attempting to move on. Then Bernadette tells him Hal wants to apologize. Jon drives back to Rushville. Hal says he never asked to apologize. Jon punches him. And then… Hal Jordan dies. Now Jon has another mystery to solve, Sheriff Carey has some explaining to do, Guy Gardner is involved again and Jon Stewart needs the Green Lantern ring he previously rejected. By the end of the episode, Jon puts the ring back on — only for a holographic AI version of Hal Jordan to appear and realize that he’s dead. And that STILL leaves the biggest mystery: What the hell is inside Hal Jordan’s giant box?
