NO CONTRACT, NO PEACE: DMV/California State Workers Walk Out

OCT 22, 202619 MIN

Description

Thousands of California state workers, including DMV employees, walked off the job Wednesday in SEIU Local 1000’s first statewide strike. The union wants a 20% raise over three years, affordable health benefits, greater telework flexibility and $25 commuting stipends for employees required in-person. Workers also accuse California of bad-faith bargaining.
