What if one of the most loving conversations we could have… is also the one most of us would rather avoid? Yes, today we’re talking about death, baby! But don’t go anywhere—because this conversation is really about love, peace, connection, and living more fully right up until our very last breath.  My guest, Melissa Lewis, is a registered nurse, certified hospice and care nurse, teacher, and founder of Heartspace for Healing & Hospice. For more than 30 years, she has supported thousands of individuals and families through some of life’s most tender transitions. But Melissa’s calling began much earlier, when at just 19 she stood frightened and helpless as she watched her grandmother suffer in a hospital. That experience eventually led her to discover a very different way of approaching the end of life—one that brings together modern medicine, ancient wisdom, spiritual connection, and compassionate presence.  Today we’ll talk about what actually happens as someone approaches the end of life, how we can lovingly support them without being overwhelmed by fear, and why getting our own “ducks in a row” may be one of the greatest gifts we ever give the people we love. Because perhaps talking about death doesn’t diminish life at all.
