There are seasons when effort, experience, and determination simply aren’t enough. We need God to lift us higher. Drawing from David’s prayer, “Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,” this message explores how God can change our perspective, strengthen our faith, and carry us beyond what we can accomplish on our own. When life feels overwhelming, the answer isn’t always a smaller problem; sometimes it’s a higher place in His presence.

We all have moments that shape our faith—times when God answered, delivered, restored, or met us in a place of need. This message explores the biblical value of remembering those moments and building memorials that keep our hearts focused on God. When we revisit what He has done, our memories can become fuel for renewed prayer, worship, and passion. Whether you have many stories or are just beginning to build them, there is no better time to remember what God has done and draw closer to Him.

The atmosphere around us may be shaped by circumstances, but we don’t have to let fear, negativity, or disappointment set the temperature of our lives. Change the Climate explores how our words, what we feed our minds, the faithfulness of God, the people around us, and time spent in His presence can cultivate an atmosphere where faith grows. Instead of simply reflecting what is happening around us, God calls us to carry faith, peace, joy, and encouragement into every room we enter. Before asking God to change everything around us, maybe we should first invite Him to change the atmosphere within us.

The Christian life requires us to recognize that we’re in a spiritual battle. Bishop Jerry Dean calls us to contend for the faith, understand the times, pray without giving up, and turn our praise into a weapon. We cannot choose comfort when God is calling us to stand, fight, and remain faithful.
