Running From God | Eric Mtimkulu

Text: Jonah 1:1–7 What do you do when God calls you to love people you’d rather avoid? In this message on Jonah 1:1–7, we look at the scandal of God's grace. Called to preach to Nineveh—a brutal nation known for its violence and hostility—the prophet Jonah goes in the complete opposite direction to escape God's presence. Yet, even in open rebellion, Jonah discovers that no one can outrun the Creator. Through a relentless storm and a pagan crew pleading for mercy, God pursues His wandering prophet, proving that His grace reaches both the unlovely and the disobedient. Join us as we explore how the story of Jonah serves as a mirror for our own hearts, challenging us to embrace God's call, love our neighbors, and trust His sovereign goodness—even when it pushes us far past our comfort zones.
