475 - Christian, Firefighter and Outdoorsman - Brion Whitten

Welcome to Christian Outdoors Podcast, where we share stories of resilience, faith, and transformation. And where we discuss all things outdoors and how to enjoy God every day. Today, we have an inspiring guest: Brion Whitten. Brion grew up in Winona, Mississippi, and moved to Oxford with his family at the age of eight. Faced with challenges like poverty and a troubled youth, he made some choices that led him down a difficult path, including a couple of arrests during his teenage years. However, Brion turned his life around by joining the Marine Corps straight out of high school, which became a pivotal turning point for him. Deployed to Iraq in 2004, Brion not only served his country but also experienced significant personal growth. He married his wife, Kelly, just before his deployment, and they have built a beautiful family together with two sons, Chase and Brooks. In his 30s, Brion’s life took another transformative turn when Kelly’s father introduced him to Christ. Embracing his faith has become the cornerstone of his life, and he is passionate about sharing the Gospel with others. At 43 years old, Brion continues to embody strength and resilience, using his experiences to inspire and uplift those around him. Join us as we dive into Brion's incredible journey of faith, family, and the power of transformation.
