Is spiritual warfare real? Ephesians 6 says the Christian life involves a battle that goes beyond what we can see. Paul tells the church that “we do not wrestle against flesh and blood,” and then gives Christians a picture of the armor God provides so that we can stand firm. In this message from Ephesians 6:10–20, we explore what spiritual warfare actually looks like, how spiritual opposition works, and why Christians do not need to live in fear. The sermon examines five strategies associated with spiritual evil, temptation, deception, accusation, demonization, and physical attack — and then turns to the much more important question: What has Jesus given us to stand against them? Paul points us to truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, God's Word, prayer, and the community of believers.
