Counterfeit Love

Description

Who gets to define love for God's children? In Ephesians 5:3–5, Paul exposes the counterfeit forms of love the world offers and calls believers to let the Father define what true love is. Building on the gospel-centered love of Ephesians 5:1–2, this message contrasts Christ's sacrificial love with fornication, uncleanness, covetousness, corrupt speech, and the old identities of those outside Christ. Because believers have already received the true love of God, they are called to reject counterfeit love, walk in purity, and live as a witness of the love they have received.
