Description

Have you ever made a declaration about something... And then life immediately responded with: Oh really? Challenge accepted. ๐Ÿ˜‚ That was Thursday for me. I had taken myself to the beach, spent some time thinking and moving through some things, and made a personal declaration. And then Thursday afternoon? It felt like every freaking thing that could challenge that declaration was served to me on a silver platter. WTF. And as someone who likes to know how things are going to happenโ€”recovering control freak over hereโ€”it brought me back to something I've been learning over and over: The how is none of my business. We spend so much energy trying to figure out exactly how the client is going to come. How the money is going to show up. How the opportunity is going to happen. How we're going to get from here to there. But what if your obsession with how is actually cutting you off from possibilities you can't see yet? In this episode, we're talking about faith, control, manifestation, God, evidence, and learning to stay in your lane. Because you don't need to understand exactly how everything is going to work. You need to do your best and let God handle the rest. Episode Breakdown (12+ minutes) 00:00 โ€“ 01:21 โ€” The Thursday that challenged everything I had just declared 01:21 โ€“ 02:16 โ€” Getting in my head and admitting I'm a bit of a control freak ๐Ÿ˜‚ 02:16 โ€“ 03:15 โ€” The how is none of your business 03:15 โ€“ 04:21 โ€” You trust things every single day without understanding how they work 04:21 โ€“ 05:40 โ€” Why bigger dreams require a greater level of faith 05:40 โ€“ 06:46 โ€” Stay in your lane and stop trying to control exactly how it happens 06:46 โ€“ 07:45 โ€” The random $7,500 Lowe's credit and the flowers I wanted ๐Ÿ˜‚ 07:45 โ€“ 09:29 โ€” How getting attached to ONE path cuts you off from other possibilities 09:29 โ€“ 10:20 โ€” Stop looking under the hood and just turn the damn ignition 10:20 โ€“ 11:32 โ€” How to rebuild faith when life has knocked you down 11:32 โ€“ 12:36 โ€” You've done hard shit before: do your best and let God handle the rest Key Takeaways You already trust things every day without understanding exactly how they work. Faith doesn't require knowing every step between where you are and where you're going. Wanting to control the how can cause you to become attached to one specific path. When you're attached to one path, you can overlook possibilities arriving from somewhere completely unexpected. You don't actually care how the thing happens nearly as much as you think you do. Some of the best things can arrive in ways you never could have planned. When faith feels hard, start smaller instead of trying to force yourself into blind optimism. Look for evidence of things working in your everyday life. Then look backward at everything you've already survived and accomplished. You've done hard shit before. This gets to become another story about something you overcame. One of the strongest messages in this episode: "You just gotta redirect it to a bit more faith in you. You've done hard shit before. You've overcome a bunch of other things before." The Practice: Stop Asking HOW When you catch yourself spiraling into: But HOW is the money going to come? HOW am I going to get the client? HOW is this problem going to get solved? HOW am I going to make this work? Come back to: What do I actually want? What is mine to do today? What am I trying to control that isn't actually mine to control? And then: Do your best. Let God handle the rest. Because maybe you aren't supposed to know the whole path yet. Ready to Go Deeper? Sometimes you don't need another strategy. You need a perspective shift. You need someone who can look at the story you're telling yourself, challenge the belief underneath it, and help you see possibilities that you can't currently see from where you're standing. That's a huge part of the work I do privately with my clients. You can work with me for an individual session or privately for three to six months. โœจ Your job isn't to control every step. Your job is to keep moving toward what you desire without closing yourself off to how God might deliver it. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Learn more about working with me Connect With Me ๐Ÿ“ธ Instagram @stephaniesnyderphd ๐ŸŒ StephanieSnyderPhD.com ๐ŸŽฅ YouTube @stephaniesnyderphd SEO Keywords the how is none of your business, trust God's timing, faith over fear, letting go of control, surrender to God, trusting the process, manifestation and faith, abundance mindset, high achiever mindset, personal development, control and anxiety, self trust, divine timing, perspective shift
