This Band Almost Named After Hello Kitty... And It Gets Worse | HKSPK Interview S6 Ep.1

HKSPK formed in Brandenburg in 2023. From the beginning, the music, arrangements and production have been developed within the band. Their debut album Holy Scum arrived in 2024, followed by the EP The Human Butcher in 2025. The 2026 singles "Torture" and "Rot In Despair" opened the next chapter. Heimkehr connects black metal and death metal with melodic, atmospheric, doom-laden and occasionally punk-driven elements. The lyrics draw on the band's experiences, stories from their immediate surroundings and historical motifs. Reality is not hidden behind grand fiction. It is heightened until it fits the music. HKSPK deliver focused, high-impact live performances. They have supported Asagraum, Enisum and Waldgeflüster, appeared at M.U.R. Open Air, Godless Mountain Open Air and Summer Ends, and played a headline show in Brno. The band has recently been featured in international media including Legacy Magazine, RAMzine, Whiskey Soda, Rock Era Magazine, Acta Infernalis, Fatal Underground and Slowly We Rot.
