Debate 57 - Should We Ban Cell Phones in Schools?

OCT 8, 202672 MIN

Description

Text us your thoughts! This month, we're tackling a topic that's sparking heated conversations in school board meetings, parent groups, and classrooms across the country: cell phones in schools. It's a topic with no shortage of opinions. Teachers and parents often bring up mental health concerns and the impact of screen time on academic performance. At the same time, phones could be learning tools, computers in our pockets. Whether you love them or hate them in schools, we wanted to hear what students have to say! So we brought together a panel of three recent high school graduates to share their (possibly surprising) opinions on this topic. Listen in, as our panel of students explores the question: Should We Ban Cell Phones in Schools? -You can find Shayna Rudoren via email: shayna_rudoren @brown.edu   -You can find Ulysses Junker via email: usj1 @williams.edu   -You can find Isaac Yukica via email: yukica @usc.edu  Listened to the episode?
