DEMOPOD: The Demolition Podcast

The Masked Superstar’s story continues as Bill Eadie takes us from the territories to Madison Square Garden and a main event run in the WWF. In Part 2, Bill talks about dealing with Ole Anderson, working with Jimmy Snuka, teaming with King Kong Bundy, and feuding with a young Roddy Piper. He also shares a hilarious story about a rib Piper tried to pull on him that didn’t go quite as planned. Then it’s 1983, and The Masked Superstar takes Manhattan. Bill recalls joining the WWF, what it was like working for Vince McMahon Sr. as Vince Jr. was coming up, and the Eddie Gilbert neck angle. He also takes us inside his immediate feud with WWF World Champion Bob Backlund. And we ask the big question: Is there any truth to the rumor that The Masked Superstar was considered to win the WWF Championship instead of The Iron Sheik before Hulkamania began? Hear it from the man under the mask.
