128) From 12-Hour Nursing Shifts to Building a Remote Business: How Katie Quit Her Nursing Job

Today we have on my Digital Nomad Life Academy client Katie Souza, who went from working 12 HOUR nursing shifts with only 30 cent yearly raises, to now finally quitting nursing altogether living in Tennessee with her remote podcast manager business, Narrative Nest Studio.  And this is so common. I  have so many nursing clients that come to me wondering how they and quit their nursing job, will it match their income and do they have any transferrable online skills?  Today we are going to dive all into that.. You'll learn in this episode:  Why she knew she needed to get out of nursing How she realized her nursing skills were actually transferable How she taught herself podcast editing from scratch How she landed her first remote client in just two months The outreach strategy she used to find clients How she balanced a full-time nursing job while building her business Why getting a remote job wasn’t actually the freedom she was looking for How she knew it was finally time to quit her corporate job What life looks like now that she controls her own schedule How working remotely has allowed her to travel for weeks at a time Her advice for anyone who wants to go remote, find a remote job, start an online business, or eventually become a digital nomad If you’re sitting at work wondering, “How the heck do I get out of this?” especially if you’re a nurse or coming from a traditional career  I really want you to hear Katie’s story. You DO have transferable skills. You can learn new things. And you do have options outside of the career you originally chose. Katie is just one example of my many nursing clients who are now digital nomads with their own remote businesses.  Connect with Katie: @itskatiesouza // Narrative Nest Studio Want help making the transition yourself?
