Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls w/ Adam Pally (Remastered Release)

(Note: This is a special remastered release of an episode originally recorded in late 2020, available in video format for the very first time!) Actor and comedian Adam Pally joins me to defend Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls. We discuss why this 1995 Jim Carrey vehicle is an underappreciated masterpiece of physical comedy, with Adam comparing it to Charlie Chaplin's City Lights. We dive into the film's relentless pacing and perfect 82-minute runtime, the unforgettable animatronic rhino birth scene, and the brilliant supporting performance from Tommy Davidson. Along the way, we discuss Adam's experience working alongside Jim Carrey on Sonic the Hedgehog, the stylistic differences between Carrey's clown-like comedic performances and Adam Sandler's frustrated everyman characters in the 90s, and why the critics were entirely wrong to give this movie a 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. 🎬 Watch more episodes of Everyone's a Critic: ⁨@everyonesacriticpod⁩  ⭐ Support the show on Patreon for: Episodes 24 hours early Ad Free Bonus Content Exclusive Polls and Updates patreon.com/everyonesacriticpod Support the show
