"My Octopus Teacher" (2020) with Shannon Cay

On this week's episode of Female Gaze: The Film Club, Morgan is joined by  freelance visual journalist and documentary filmmaker Shannon Cay to discuss the 2020 film, "My Octopus Teacher," co-directed by Pippa Ehrlich and James Reed. Shannon and Morgan dive (sorry, this happens a lot this episode) into the film's catalyst, the videography and archival footage, and the discussion gets a little existential too.  You can follow Shannon Instagram You can check out Shannon's work Springfield Daily Citizen Midwest Newsroom | "Deportations of Missouri and Kansas parents can hurt their kids for decades after" You can follow Female Gaze: The Film Club Instagram BlueSky Website
