Description

In Romans 9.1-29, Paul wrestles with a deeply personal question: If so many Jewish people have not recognized Jesus as Messiah, has God's Word failed? With genuine sorrow for his people, Paul points to the unchanging faithfulness of God. This message explores salvation by grace through faith, Israe's unique blessings and ongoing place in God's purposes, the distinction between spiritual heritage and personal trust in the Messiah, and God's preservation of a believing remnant. We also consider the difficult but hope filled themes of God's sovereignty, mercy, justice, human responsibility, and the Potter's right over the clay.
