Heart of the Beast (2026) • Review • Does the Dog Steal the Whole Movie?

Join Fraser as he reviews Heart of the Beast (2026), David Ayer's survival thriller starring Brad Pitt as a retired Special Forces officer stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with his scarred combat dog, Odin, and asks whether the film's real star ends up being the one on four legs. This episode is completely spoiler free. In this review, Fraser shares why Odin, the four-dog ensemble behind James's combat companion, left him more moved than Brad Pitt did, how growing up on New Zealand's South Island let him spot the film's Alaska standing in for his own backyard within minutes, and why the grizzly stand-off is the one scene he can't stop thinking about days later.
