Frangela: Idiot of the Week

Four idiots this week, and we're starting with the oldest. An 82-year-old man died after a beach fight with a 76-year-old over a sunlounger. A sunlounger, y'all. Together, that's 158 years of life experience, and the ocean is free. Sit in the sand. Sit anywhere. Just stay alive. Next stop is the Midwest, where a man was arrested for riding his electric scooter through a neighborhood completely naked. Questions remain about the battery life, the judgment, and the seat situation. Over in Norway, a man accidentally got his "Crown Jewel" trapped in an IKEA stool. Not the instructions, not the Allen wrench, the stool. Picturing how that happens is a burden now shared with you, and we apologize. And it all ends in Florida, because of course it does. A man paid good money for a close encounter with a black leopard and got mauled. He PAID. Sir, the leopard did exactly what leopards do. You're the idiot in this contract. Four stories, four terrible decisions, zero common sense. Press play. Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Welcome to Idiot of the Week, where we have a crowded field and zero shame. Let's start in the dirt, because soil scientists buried 2,000 pairs of underwear to prove a point. Ma'am, sir, we don't know what point needs 2,000 pairs of underwear, but we do know somebody signed off on the budget. Then we have a surgeon who drank a bottle of vodka before his shift. He admitted he would not have been safe to drive, but he "felt okay" to do surgery. So the car was too risky, but cutting into a human being? Totally fine. Sir, the bar for feeling okay is not the same as the bar for being safe, and the person on the table didn't get a vote. Next, a river that's home to about 100 saltwater crocodiles has been chosen as an Olympic venue. One hundred. Crocodiles. We love a sporting event, but the athletes should not also be on the menu. Somebody in that meeting had to say, "Should we mention the crocodiles?" and somebody else said no. And finally, a woman is accused of undressing and performing indecent acts on an American Airlines flight. We remind you that it's an accusation, but if it's true, baby, that's a seat, not a stage. There's a whole airport bar for whatever that was. Four stories, one crown. Who gets it? We're not sure yet, but we're taking bets. Buckle up, because this week's Idiot of the Week has SO many nominees we had to fight over the crown ourselves. First: a British Airways crew got sick after allegedly eating weed gummies handed to them by a passenger mid-flight. Ma'am. MA'AM. You're up there responsible for our safety at 30,000 feet and you're accepting mystery snacks from strangers like it's a slumber party? We need a whole new training module titled "Do Not Eat The Gummies." Then we've got a woman who somehow got stuck INSIDE a Chuck E. Cheese game and had to be rescued by actual firefighters. Girl, what were you chasing in there? A jackpot? Your dignity? The firefighters showed up ready for a real emergency and instead found you wedged next to the skee-ball like a prize nobody claimed. But the real Idiot of the Week — and we mean this with our whole chest — goes to the parents who encouraged their sons to fight OTHER CHILDREN at a cemetery. Sir. SIR. There is no version of "let the kids settle this at the graveyard" that ends well. Grab your seatbelts and possibly a helmet, because this week's idiots came in hot, high, and swinging. We have a whole truckload of stupid this week! A beer lover gets no prize for the Pabst Blue Ribbon. AI helps Mount Shasta hikers get lost. Word to the wise, don’t show up to your don’t drink class drunk. Why is the Cat in the Hat on TikTok? Y'all, we don't know where to even start this week because the idiocy is deep. First up, we're talking about a man in Vietnam who mistook toilet cleaner for a drink — and lost his entire stomach because of it. His entire stomach! We need a moment. Then we're taking you to the mall, where two grown women decided the food court was the perfect venue for an old-fashioned, fists-flying brawl. Security got involved, handcuffs got involved, we are OBSESSED. After that we head to Richmond, Virginia, where a doctor — a doctor! — wakes up to find a bat in her mouth. In. Her. Mouth. We scream every time we say it and we're going to make you scream too. And we're closing things out on the high seas, because nothing says vacation like a brawl so chaotic it got sixteen — SIXTEEN — guests banned from ever sailing that cruise line again. We need to know what started it and we need to know now. Grab your snacks, grab your bat-repellant and let's get into it — it's time for another Idiot of the Week.
