#120: Fall Forward - The Viral Messege of Fr. Lazarus El Anthony

This episode centers on a simple but powerful word of encouragement that has reached many hearts through a short viral clip of Fr. Lazarus El Anthony, the Coptic Orthodox hermit who lives in the Egyptian desert near the Monastery of Saint Anthony. In that teaching he speaks about the reality of falling, the danger of despair, and the call to “fall forward.” Human nature includes the tendency to fall. What matters most is getting up again in repentance. That rising, not the absence of every stumble, is what keeps us on the path toward the Kingdom. This is not a free pass to sin. It is hope for those who are already pouring out sweat and tears in the effort to live a righteous life. When you fall, do not let the devil claim the victory. You were knocked down, but you are not out. Get up. Pick up your cross daily. Follow Jesus.
