Saintly Synopsis: Elder Thaddeus - Our thoughts Determine Our Lives

Gathered here as fellow travelers on this earthly pilgrimage, let us turn our hearts tonight to a quiet yet powerful voice from the hills of Serbia—a voice that speaks directly into the storms of our own minds and hearts. Picture, if you will, a small monastery nestled among the rolling hills and forests near the village of Vitovnica. There, in the latter half of the twentieth century, lived a Serbian Orthodox monk named Elder Thaddeus, a man who had walked through the fires of personal anxiety, depression, war, imprisonment, and the crushing weight of modern life’s unrest.
