Description
I sat down with Ben Staley, a two-time Emmy-winning director, producer, cinematographer and photographer, to talk about the art of storytelling.
Ben grew up off the grid in Alaska and learned storytelling around a campfire. That upbringing shaped a career spanning documentaries, commercials and television for Netflix, Discovery Channel, Nat Geo, History Channel, A&E and Red Bull, including more than 100 episodes of Deadliest Catch.
Ben shares how he earns the trust of his subjects until they forget the camera is there, and why chasing the algorithm or the latest gear can pull you away from the story that matters.
If you could tell just one story that only you can tell, what would it be about?
