The Brothers Hunt Fall Whitetail and Who Saved The Hunt

Reid's West Tennessee bow hunt for a mature whitetail turned into an emotional deer recovery he won’t forget. A 38-yard shot, a disappearing blood trail, and a tracking dog named Rocky had the boys hanging on until the very end. This week on God’s Country, Reid and Dan Isbell—the Brothers Hunt—tell the full story of their number-one target buck. After months of trail camera scouting and food plot work, the opportunity came just minutes into their first sit. What followed tested their patience, their confidence, and their faith. The guys break down: • How an October cold front put their target buck on his feet • The shot and the buck’s split-second reaction • Why they backed out and waited overnight • How Rocky and his handler, Rick, tracked the deer when the blood trail disappeared • The lesson behind taking “the next right step” and trusting God with what you can’t control Plus, Dan and Reid debate Starbucks tipping culture, share a wild deer camp story, and give a shout-out to Medal of Honor recipient Kyle Carpenter.
