Healing Power of God - part 2 - #042 - 9-minute video - edbradyradio

God's healing power is a cornerstone of Christian faith, reflecting the very nature of a compassionate Creator who desires wholeness for humanity. Throughout scripture, God reveals Himself not only as the author of life but also as the restorer of health. In the Old Testament, He declares to the Israelites, "I am the Lord, who heals you" (Exodus 15:26), establishing a covenant of divine care. Divine healing is an expression of God's sovereign mercy, touching individuals physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and reminding believers that no affliction is beyond the reach of His restorative grace. The ultimate manifestation of God's healing power was demonstrated through the earthly ministry of Jesus Christ. Matthew 4:23 records that Jesus went throughout Galilee teaching, preaching the good news, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. This physical restoration was intrinsically linked to spiritual redemption, a truth regularized in the prophetic words of Isaiah 53:5, which states that "by his wounds we are healed." Christ’s miracles serve as a powerful testament that God's kingdom has broken into the world, offering deliverance from the brokenness and suffering caused by sin. Today, the Holy Spirit continues to manifest this divine power within the body of believers, encouraging them to seek God through prayer and faith during times of illness. The Apostle James instructs the church to pray over the sick and anoint them with oil, promising that "the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well" (James 5:15). While God heals in various ways—sometimes miraculously, sometimes through the gift of medical science, and ultimately in eternal resurrection—believers are called to trust in His perfect timing and unchanging love, knowing that He remains the ultimate healer.
