If you’re a hot new fashion brand, it’s Rihanna. Finally, if you’re a reader, PEN America is watching to make sure you don’t boycott the wrong books. 12 min: Is Matières Fécales Genius? 32 min: Who is Zack Bia? 48 min: Flock Cameras Are Watching 64 min: Is anyone really boycotting Israeli literature? 79 min: Joyce Carol Oates hates romance novels ___________________________________ Clash Talk at the 312 Festival in Chicago: https://www.312comedyfestival.com/headliners/clash-talk-a-competitive-talk-show Clash Talk at New York Comedy Festival: https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/3000654107ACBFBF ___________________________________ Keep up with all the latest: https://www.goodnoticings.com/ Read our many musings on Substack: https://goodnoticings.substack.com/ Join the Patreon for new, exclusive episodes every Friday! https://www.patreon.com/c/goodnoticings Follow us on: TikTok- @goodnoticingspod Instagram- @goodnoticingspod Theme song by: Bri Connelly ___________________________________ Who is Fecal Matter: https://www.dazeddigital.com/fashion/article/70867/1/matieres-fecales-dazed-cover-autumn-2026-hannah-rose-dalton-steven-raj-bhaskaran https://www.nytimes.com/2026/09/29/style/matieres-fecales-ninety-nine-percent-show-pfw.html PEN America: https://pen.org/a-silent-moratorium-interviews-with-israeli-and-jewish-writers/ https://pen.org/a-statement-to-our-community/ https://jewishcurrents.org/what-pen-america-got-wrong-about-antisemitism-in-publishing What is Flock: https://theintercept.com/2026/09/24/how-many-flock-devices-in-united-states-300000/ https://techcrunch.com/2026/10/03/federal-judge-calls-flock-indiscriminate-mass-surveillance/ Joyce’s Tweet: https://x.com/JoyceCarolOates/status/2105382365761769600 Learn more about your ad choices.
