In this episode, we continue Beholding the King through Luke 13–14, where Jesus challenges His listeners to consider what following Him truly requires. Through teachings about repentance, humility, spiritual fruitfulness, and the cost of discipleship, we’re confronted with the difference between simply being familiar with Jesus and genuinely surrendering our lives to Him. And as we examine the excuses, priorities, and attachments that can compete with our commitment to Christ, we’re reminded that following Him isn’t something we’re called to approach casually. Because following Jesus costs something, but the One we’re following is worth more than anything we’re called to surrender.
