Scripture — Psalm 62:1 “Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.” Quiet Before God Today’s Reflection Before the day asks anything of you, take a moment to rest in the presence of God. Before the messages arrive, the responsibilities gather, or your thoughts begin racing ahead, let your soul become quiet before Him. Waiting upon God is not giving up. It is releasing the need to have every answer before you can have peace. It is choosing to pray, “Lord, I do not know how everything will unfold today, but I trust You with what I cannot see.” The words “from Him cometh my salvation” turn our attention from our own strength to the One in whom we place our hope. You do not have to begin this morning pretending you are strong enough for everything. You can come honestly—with your weariness, your questions, your unfinished work, and your hopes. There may be things you cannot resolve today. There may be answers that do not arrive on your schedule. Still, you can make room for prayer before reacting, for trust before worry, and for a quiet moment before taking the next step. Let today begin not with the pressure to control everything, but with the willingness to entrust everything to God. A Moment to Practice Before reaching for your phone or beginning your first task, sit quietly for a moment. Name one concern you are carrying, then offer it to God: “Lord, I place this in Your hands. Help me take my next step with faith.” Carry This Thought I can begin this day without every answer. My soul can rest in God. Morning Prayer Heavenly Father, Quiet my soul this morning. Help me bring You my concerns instead of carrying them alone. When I feel rushed, teach me to pause. When I feel uncertain, help me trust You without demanding to know every outcome. Guide my thoughts, my words, and my work today. Give me wisdom to act where I should act, patience to wait where I must wait, and humility to recognize my need for You. My hope rests in You. May I move through this day with a heart attentive to Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
